How do I enter?
The Motor Transport Awards will open for entries on 15 January 2024.
Entry into the awards is free and you can enter as many categories as you like just make sure that you tailor each entry to the criteria.
Ensure you have also read and understood the terms and conditions for entering. Please send in your electronic entry form on the website before the deadline of 17:00 on 28 March 2024.

Can I enter my product or service into more than one category?
Yes, you can enter it into multiple categories as long as each entry relates to the relevant criteria,
If the same or essentially similar entry is made in multiple categories, Motor Transport reserves the right to put it forward for judging only in the most appropriate category.
If Motor Transport deems that an entry is more appropriately placed in another category, they reserve the right to move it to that category.
How do I submit my entry?
All work must be entered using our online entry system.
1. Select the category you wish to enter (You can select additional categories from the drop down menu in the basket and then clicking the green + button)
2. You will then be redirected to a registration page for new users or login page for returning users
3. You will need to supply the following information for each category you enter:
- Company name
- Company logo
- 50 word summary of the entry
- 1,000 word PDF entry
- Supporting material (optional)
- 2 high resolution images that support your entry - these will be used in the awards presentation if shortlisted
**Some categories may require specific additional information included, please ensure that you have thoroughly read the category criteria**
4. Once all mandatory fields have been answered you can Submit your entry.
5. A Confirmation email will be automatically emailed to the address assigned to the login credentials as soon as you complete your order. If this is not received check your junk mail folder and contact mtawards@roadtransport.com
What types of documentation should I provide as part of my entry?
All entries should be submitted using our online system. Entries themselves should be supplied as PDFs (no larger than 5MB). In each of our categories we request photos to be used in any shortlist write ups, marketing or on the night to represent your entry.
Any video files you wish to submit as part of your entry should not be uploaded but hosted and links provided along with any passwords required to access them.
Can I edit my entry once I’ve submitted it?
- Login using your email and password on the awards website
- Under Transactions click the Complete tab
- Click the Transaction ID of the relevant entry
- You will automatically be taken to Summary screen. From there select the Items tab to the right
- Go to the field(s) you wish to change and make your amendments
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and press save
Please note if you do not press save the changes will not be made and you can only make edits to your submission until the entry deadline.
What is the word count?
Entrants will have 1,000 words to respond to the category criteria.
Be sure to check the section 'Judges will be looking for' within the category criteria.
Written submissions should be saved as a pdf and uploaded to the entry portal.
How much is it to enter?
It's FREE to enter the Motor Transport Awards.
I entered but have not received a confirmation.
If you have not received confirmation that your entry has been received please contact our events team at mtawards@roadtransport.com No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost or delayed in transit.
I missed the deadline. Can I still submit my entry?
Entries arriving after the closing date will be disqualified. Any entries received incomplete, illegible or not complying with the rules will be disqualified subject to the discretion of the chair of judges.
How will the entry be judged?
All entries will be judged against the category criteria. Each entry is judged by an independent panel of senior road transport professionals from varying backgrounds within the industry. Decisions of the judges will be final. No correspondence will be entered into.
When will I find out if my company has been shortlisted?
Motor Transport will contact all entrants (regardless of whether they have been shortlisted or not) by 10 June 2024 . The full shortlist will be announced in Motor Transport and published on the awards website on the same date.
Do I have to book my table and submit my entry at the same time?
No, you can submit your entry and book your table either separately or together.

When and where are the Awards being held?
The awards will be held on Wednesday 4 September at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London, W1K 7TN. To book your table and see what's included please click here .
When will I find out if my company has won?
The announcement of the winners will be made at the 38th Motor Transport Awards ceremony taking place on Wednesday 4 September at the Grosvenor House Hotel. You can book tables of 10 seats or individual tickets to attend the ceremony on our website.
What are the timings for the evening?
For the timings please consult your e-ticket which you will receive approximately 4-6 weeks before the awards. If you have not received an e-ticket please email mtawards@roadtransport.com
When will I receive my invitations?
e-Tickets will be sent in late July / early August to the bookers email for all bookings made before this time. All bookings made afterwards were sent the e-ticket for their group at time of booking. If you do not have an e-ticket please email mtawards@roadtransport.com to have this resent.
Who do I notify if one of my guests has special dietary requirements?
Please add any dietary requirements by logging in to the website and adding these to your guest list.
Can under 18s attend this event?
Grosvenor House Hotel, A JW Marriott Hotel, takes the safety and protection of children very seriously. The hotel’s policy is that no persons under the age of 18 may attend the function or enter the function room at any stage during the event. This policy, set by management, upholds the licensing objective “The Protection of Children from Harm”.
How do I buy tickets for the dinner?

How do I order drinks?
The main contact who made your table booking will be emailed a link to the drinks portal to pre-order drinks ahead of the awards along with tickets 4-6 weeks beforehand.
How do I find out my table number?
Table numbers will be emailed to all guests in the days preceeding the awards when a final table plan has been reached. You are still able to submit a drinks order with the Grosvenor House Hotel without this information.

Will there be any filming or photography at the event?
Photographs and video will be taken at this event.
By taking part in this event you grant the event organisers full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for visual presentation or social media or marketing purposes relating to the event or future events organised by DVV Media International Ltd.
By entering the event premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use of these materials.
